Meet the Datamaran Crew: Taylor Schickling

Written by Datamaran | 29, Oct 2025

At Datamaran, our people are at the heart of what we do. Meet the Crew is our blog series showcasing team members from across our business, all working toward a shared goal of integrating sustainability into the core of global business. We hope you enjoy getting to know them. In this new installment, we get to know Taylor.

Meet Taylor Schickling, Senior Client Success Manager at Datamaran

“I joined Datamaran because I first loved that it is a value-driven company. I wanted to be a part of a company that sat at the intersection of technology and strategy, and that generates actual impact on the world.”

Taylor was born in the US but raised across an unimaginable variety of cultures and places. Throughout her childhood, she traveled to over 80 countries with her family. During these trips, Taylor and her brother took part in several volunteering projects with local organizations and orphanages. From those early days, her parents’ desire to provide her with a well-rounded worldview and foster positive impact has sunk deep into Taylor’s beliefs and values.

Taylor studied criminal justice and political science as an undergraduate in Texas, and continued to dive into these fields with her master’s in criminology, law, and society. After leading the customer success team for a tech company, her career path shifted to Datamaran.

What motivated Taylor to take this big step into sustainability is exactly what her parents taught her when traveling. As Taylor explained, “I joined Datamaran because I first loved that it is a value-driven company. I wanted to be a part of a company that sat  at the intersection of technology and strategy, and that generates actual impact on the world.”

Building human connections is the most crucial aspect

At Datamaran, Taylor works as a Senior Client Success Manager, helping clients understand the evolving sustainability landscape and creating meaningful experiences with the Datamaran product. For Taylor, being a client success manager is about acting as a trustworthy and reliable reference point for clients.

For Taylor, success in her role goes far beyond metrics; it’s about building genuine, lasting human connections. She often continues to engage with the teams she’s worked with, staying in touch long after projects have wrapped up. Whether it’s sharing insights, offering guidance, or simply checking in, Taylor makes sure those relationships continue to grow.

It’s this relationship-first approach that truly sets her apart. By keeping the conversation going, she helps ensure Datamaran remains a trusted voice and a natural choice as a partner as organizations evolve on their sustainability journeys.

The next frontiers of sustainability: Integration and scale

Looking to the future, Taylor sees integration and scale as the next frontiers of sustainability. Reaching them, she believes, will depend on strong partnerships, connecting businesses with global organizations and reporting bodies to embed sustainability into everyday decision-making.

It’s through this kind of collaboration, Taylor explains, that companies can create real, measurable impact – transforming sustainability ambitions into results that matter for society and the planet.

Taylor brings so much more to Datamaran than her expertise in client success management. Her enthusiasm, authenticity, and genuine care for the people she works with make her a joy to collaborate with – both within the team and when connecting with clients and partners.

That same energy and optimism also shape how she looks to the future. One day, she hopes to open her own bagel and coffee shop – a place where she can share her warmth and positivity with people in a different way.

Whether you’ve already had the chance to meet Taylor or might one day stop by her future café, we hope her story has given you a glimpse into the passion and spirit she brings to everything she does.
